Just an Android phone! Step Wars uses your phone's built-in step sensor to count steps automatically. No fitness trackers or third-party apps required.

Each race has unique bonuses, 8 specialized units, and a legendary hero:

⚔️ Humans — +12% gold/step, +5% DP, +10% OP daytime
🏹 Elves — +10% OP/DP always, +20% spell power
⛏️ Dwarves — Protoss race: 2× unit stats, 2× cost, Runic Shields (15% casualties survive)
🌊 Merfolk — +15% DP, +10% Tidal Wall DP when outgunned
💀 Undead — +20% OP/DP at night, -5% daytime
🪓 Orcs — +12% attack power always
🗡️ Dark Elves — +8% OP/DP, +10% OP night, +20% spy effectiveness
🐺 Lycanthropes — +5% OP/DP, +15% OP night, convert 15% defeated troops
🔥 Flamewalkers — +9% OP, +20% OP spring/summer, -5% OP fall/winter
🧛 Vampires — +40% OP night, -25% OP day, +5% DP, lifesteal
❄️ Icekin — +8% DP, +20% DP fall/winter, +5% OP fall/winter
👺 Goblins — Zerg race: cheapest units, +5% DP/OP, +25% loot gold

Every step earns 1 gold (base). Additional resources depend on your buildings:

• 🌾 Farm — food per step (used to attack and enter the Tower)
• 🪵 Lumber Mill — lumber per step
• ⛏️ Ore Mine — ore per step
• 💎 Crystal Mine — crystals per step (used for spells and spy missions)
• 🏪 Trading Post — exchange resources, forge gear, daily deals

All resources scale with walking. Tower bonuses, hero talents, and ad boosts are multipliers on steps — not flat grants.

Yes — 20,000 steps per day (resets midnight EST). This prevents step-spoofing advantages and keeps the playing field fair.

Auto-sync every 30 seconds. You can also tap "Sync Steps" on the Home tab for a manual sync. Steps taken while the app is closed are collected when you reopen it.

Step Wars uses your Android phone's built-in hardware step sensor. It counts steps at the chip level, even when the app is in the background or closed. No external trackers needed.

1. Check permissions — Settings → Apps → Step Wars → Permissions → Physical Activity
2. Tap "Sync Steps" on the Home tab
3. Walk a few steps — the sensor needs movement to register
4. Restart the app — close and reopen

Step Wars only reads your step count. We cannot see heart rate, sleep, weight, GPS, or any other health data.

Real PvP combat against other players. 6-phase system:

1. Assassination — Dark Elf assassins can kill enemy elites
2. Cavalry Charge — cavalry clash first (Collective Firewalls can block this)
3. Main Battle — full army OP vs DP with racial, time-of-day, seasonal, hero, spell, and building bonuses
4. Siege — siege units damage enemy buildings
5. Healing — healers restore fallen troops
6. Loot — winner takes gold

A 300-floor solo dungeon with 3 acts:

• Act 1 (1-100) — The Ascent. 10 enemy races, bosses every 10 floors
• Act 2 (101-200) — The Nightmare. Tougher compositions
• Act 3 (201-300) — The Dark Throne. Mixed armies, brutal endgame

Rewards: permanent +gold% per step (cumulative), gear drops, boost tokens, cosmetics. Milestones at floors 50/100/150/200/250/300. Floor 300 boss = "The Dark Emperor." Buff spells work in Tower combat.

Build a Hero Hall to recruit your race's legendary hero. Heroes level to 100 (~1 year at 8K steps/day).

• Level passive: +0.25% OP/DP per level (max +25% at L100)
• Talents: 3 branches (War, Guardian, Sage) × 5 tiers = 15 picks. 1 point per 5 levels, capped at 15
• Gear: 3 slots (weapon, armor, trinket). Common → Rare → Epic → Legendary. Drop from Tower bosses or forge at Trading Post
• Titles: Recruit → Veteran (25) → Champion (50) → Legendary (75) → Mythic (100)

3 random quests per day (Easy, Medium, Hard) on the Quests tab. Complete all 3 for a bonus reward.

Streak system: Complete all 3 quests on consecutive days for escalating rewards:

• 3 days: Hard quest gear → Rare+ minimum
• 7 days: 2,000 gold + Rare+ gear
• 14 days: 5,000 gold + Epic+ gear
• 30 days: 10,000 gold + guaranteed Legendary gear + cosmetic badge

Miss a day → streak resets to 0.

A building (5 tiers) on the Quests tab for resource management:

• T1: Exchange resources (gold↔food/lumber/ore/crystal) with daily limits
• T2: Gear Forge — combine 3 Common → 1 Rare
• T3: Daily Deals — one special rotating offer per day + Forge 3 Rare → 1 Epic
• T4: 15% better exchange rates
• T5: Legendary Forge — 3 Epic → 1 Legendary (10,000g)

Walk Rate Bonus: Trade rates improve based on today's steps. Walk 12K+ steps → 150% rates ("Golden Hour"). Check the Trading Post AFTER your walk for best deals.

Magic: Build a Mage Tower (5 tiers = 5 spell slots). Buff spells boost OP/DP, attack spells hit real players (Plague 5%, Blizzard 4%, Fireball 3%), heal spells restore losses. Buffs work in Tower combat.

Spying: Build a Watchtower for spy missions: Scout, Sabotage Resources/Buildings, Assassinate Troops, Steal Gold, Incite Desertion. Dark Elves get +20% spy success.

OP = Offensive Power — how hard you hit. Boosted by racial bonuses, Armory building, hero talents, gear, spells, time-of-day, and season.

DP = Defensive Power — how well you defend. Boosted by Walls building, hero talents, gear, spells, and racial bonuses.

Step Wars is free to play. Ads support development.

Mandatory: Short video every 2 attacks (Crown Pass skips these).

Optional: Watch for bonus walking multipliers (Gold Rush +10%, Harvest Boost +15%, War Tempo +10%). All are step-based — you must walk to benefit.

No. Every reward is a walking multiplier — you must walk to benefit. There are no flat resource grants, no instant armies, no stat boosts that work while sitting. Crown Pass gives convenience, not power. The strongest player is the one who walks the most.

Yes! Cloud saved via Firebase. Auto-saves every 30 seconds and on every major action. Sign in from any device to continue.

Crown Pass: 2 free race transfers per month — keep gold, resources, buildings. Army and hero reset.

Full reset: Community → Settings → Reset. Erases everything EXCEPT achievements (those are permanent).

30 achievements plus 1 secret. Achievements are permanent — they survive resets and race changes. Each shows the date it was earned. View them on the Community tab. Tap any player on the leaderboard to see their public profile and stats.
